On the 18th and 19th of June, Lockforce conducted a Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) course for an international company, which is locally based in Port Moresby, PNG for 17 students.

The training course was designed to train the participants on how to deal effectively with the risks and threats associated in PNG. It also encompassed the preparation and dealing with emergency situations to increase their security and safety capabilities and knowledge while deployed within their area of operations. Additionally, the training reinforced preventative processes to consider and response mechanisms best suited to their operating environment.

A number of theory and practical sessions were facilitated along with realistic scenarios in order to promote sound threat situations and the mitigation strategies to be adopted.
